Trae Tha Truth Discusses Missing Daughter on NewsNation's "Banfield"

In an emotional conversation on Banfield, Trae Tha Truth, a rapper from Houston, talked about his missing daughter Truth Thompson, who is 6 years old. Trae hadn't seen his daughter since August when he dropped her off to spend time with her mother, Heather Cuevas. Truth disappeared without a trace, even though Trae had primary legal custody. His planned pick-up turned into a painful wait.

Cuevas has been charged with a felony because she broke the terms of her custody deal by not giving Truth back. The FBI, U.S. Marshals, the Black and Missing Foundation, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are actively searching.

Cuevas and Truth were seen in Los Angeles in September, which is where private agents have tracked them down. The chase was stopped, though, because it wasn't safe. Trae said he was worried about Truth's safety because she hadn't been going to school and hadn't been talking to Cuevas at all.

Trae said in the interview, "I dropped her off and told her I'd see her on Sunday. I gave her a hug and a kiss, and that was the last time I saw her."

Trae is still very anxious to find out what's going on and make sure his kid is safe.

Government officials want anyone who knows where Truth is to call police at 281-341-4686 or the Black and Missing Foundation at 877-972-2634.
